Hello
My name is Colm Horgan, and welcome to my publishing house, HeartStrings Guild.
A little bit about me, I’m from Cork City, in the southern part of Ireland. I attended university here in University College Cork and achieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and Psychology, and a further Masters in Philosophy with a thesis on True Love and Free Will.
Art has always been a big part of my life, as I come from a creative family. But for me, I always had a soft spot for writing. I’ve had a few pieces chosen to be published online and decided to gather together some of my writing and make a collection of poetry. This would become The Goddess of Hearts and The Fool of Hope. Instead of going through a publisher, being a little possessive of my first book, I decided to start my own publishing house to get it out to the world. From here, I also wish to share my other works of poetry and fiction, and perhaps, in the future, other art or music.
My hope for the future of HeartStrings Guild is not just a platform for myself, but also for other artists, to create a community of people sharing their gifts and talents, and of course, to reach out to those reading, watching or listening to our hearts ringing. Beginning with my own first few steps!
The greatest art comes from the sound of the heart, so keep those Heartstrings ringing.
