To My Dearest: Someday
To my Dearest,
Far off in a distant fogged land
Known as memory
I hold your stone-smooth hand
Our ankles chased by the sea
And upon the breezes that catch my breath
I close my weary, itched eyes
And I feel the mark your lips left
And the flash of your two head-bound skies
In between those kisses
Our words would take trips
Leave silence with us
Bar the heart hammers on our ribs
And my chest, it seeks
You softly resting here
And with a smile, these creaks
These aches and hurts would clear
And though distance sits so indignantly
I feel we grow ever closer
Simple letters between you and me
Douse the beast of fear
And someday, side by side we’ll stand
To take words of unity
To share with each other golden bands
And to simply be
Until that day, a few more dark nights above
A few more of that lonely rest
With all my love,
My Dearest
